Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-27
Short version: photos you use in StitchChart are turned into a pattern on your device and are never uploaded. We have no accounts and no servers that receive your photos or patterns. The app collects anonymous usage analytics and crash reports, and the ad networks may use your device's advertising identifier.
This policy describes how mef.space ("we", "us") handles information when you use the StitchChart mobile application ("the App") and the website stitch.mef.space ("the Site").
Photos and patterns
When you create a pattern, the App asks for access to the camera or to a photo you choose. The photo is cropped, scaled and converted to a pattern entirely on your device. The original photo, the pattern and your progress are not sent to us. The App does not browse your photo library and only sees the photo you pick. Images and PDFs you export leave your device only when you share or save them yourself.
The website
The pattern maker on the Site runs in your browser. Your photo is not uploaded anywhere. The Site sets no cookies and has no sign-up. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver the pages.
Data we collect in the App
We do not ask for your name, email or any account. We collect anonymous usage events through Google Firebase Analytics, such as "pattern created", the pattern size and number of colors, and crash reports through Firebase Crashlytics. These contain no photos and no personal information. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Advertising
The free version of the App shows ads served by Appodeal and its partner networks. They may collect device information such as the device model, operating system version and advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) to show and measure ads. On iOS the App asks for permission before tracking. You can limit personalized ads at any time:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID
In-app purchase
The Premium purchase is processed by the App Store or Google Play. We never receive your payment details. Your purchase status is stored on your device.
Data on your device
Your patterns, progress and settings are stored only on your device. Deleting the App deletes them.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
